Aditya Dash earned his integrated BSc-MSc in Physics from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela (India) in 2021. Aditya worked on the fabrication of an economical signal amplified vibrating sample magnetometer with spiral designed detector at cryogenic lab during his Bachelor’s. With a desire to relate experimental findings with theoretical modelling, he opted to do a master thesis on first principle ab-initio calculation on metal oxides and multiferroic perovskite at NIT Rkl. His work was based on analyzing structural, optoelectronic and magnetic properties using quantum espresso.
Aditya is now pursuing his PhD funded by HORATES, developing kinetic Monte Carlo models for hybrid and organic thermoelectric materials. He is supervised by Prof. Martijn Kemerink (Centre for Advanced Materials (CAM), Heidelberg University) and co-supervised by Prof. Jan Anton Koster (Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials).
