Technical University of Chemnitz Chemistry Department Chemnitz, Germany e-mail: diego.ropero-hinojosa@chemie.tu-chemnitz.de

Diego earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry at the University of
Zaragoza in 2019, followed by his master's degree in Molecular
Chemistry and Homogeneous Catalysis in 2021. During his career, he has been involved in different internships and collaborations within the
academia (Organometallic Platinium Research Group CSIC, UNIZAR,
Zaragoza, Spain) as well as in the industry (SABIC Innovative
Plastics, Cartagena, Spain). During his bachelor's and master's degree
final project he worked on the preparation of new organometallic
NHC-Rhodium carbene complexes and their applications in catalytic
hydroacyloxilation and hydrosilylation reactions of alkynes supervised
by Dr. Ricardo Castarlenas. He is currently part of the HORATES
network working in the design of n-type organic thermoelectric
conjugated polymers under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael
Sommer at TU Chemnitz (Chemnitz, Germany) and with the co-supervision of Prof. Dr. Christian Müller at Chalmers University (Gothenburg, Sweden).
